About the Event
Welcome, Region II!
My name is Tyson Jordan, an honors junior Civil Engineering student at the illustrious North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. I have the privilege of serving as your Region II Fall Regional Conference (FRC) Planning Chair, and I truly cannot wait to see each and every one of you at the 2026 Fall Regional Conference!
This year’s Fall Regional Conference (FRC) is right around the corner and will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, at the Marriott Westin Hotel from Friday, November 6th, to Sunday, November 8th. Pennsylvania is home to major STEM innovation, engineering history, and world-class research, and Pittsburgh specifically is globally renowned for its leadership in various STEM breakthroughs. Rooted in its historical legacy as a heavy industry and steel pioneer, the city has successfully transitioned into a modern tech hub, driven heavily by local institutions.
On behalf of the Regional Executive Board (REB), we are thrilled to welcome an expected 800+ passionate, driven members who continue to push forward the mission of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE): “To increase the number of culturally responsible Black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community.”
This year’s conference theme is, “Engineered with Intention: The L.A.B.”

We’re redefining what STEM means within our community by emphasizing a cycle of intentional growth. We aim to Learn deeply, Apply our knowledge with purpose, and Build ourselves, our chapters, our communities, and ultimately, our future.
Whether you’re looking to strengthen your impact within the region, expand your academic and professional network, or discover your voice as a leader, this Fall Regional Conference is designed to help you take meaningful steps forward in both your personal and professional journey.
