Collegiate Region 6

Dear Six House,

My name is Andrew Zeleke, and I am honored to serve as your 2026-2027 Region VI Chairperson! I am a
Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Washington, and I could not be more excited to
represent the Sixiest Region this year.

Region VI is home to resilient leaders and innovative members, spanning Alaska, Washington, Oregon,
Idaho, Montana, California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, New Mexico, and Hawaii. Our
reach also extends internationally to Western Canada, Baja Mexico, Asia, and the South Pacific Australia.

As we begin this new year together, we have an opportunity to shape the future of Region VI. The
decisions we make today will define the experiences, opportunities, and impact we create for those who
come after us.

That is why my administration will be guided by one overarching directive:

If we do not look forward, we will look back.
To move Region VI forward, we must build a stronger foundation today while creating a vision for
tomorrow. This vision will be centered around three pillars:

Build Better Engineers
How can we increase member value by promoting academic excellence, developing technical skills, and
emphasizing the engineering within NSBE? By investing in our members’ growth, we prepare them to
become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

Grow the Six House
How can we expand our outreach by creating new chapters, increasing collegiate and NSBE Jr.
membership, and strengthening collaboration with NSBE Professionals? By growing our community, we
expand our ability to make a lasting impact.

Leave a Legacy
How can we create leaders with a long-term vision? By planning ahead, strengthening the culture of
Region VI, and recognizing that our greatest contributions may be realized by those who follow us. The
seeds we plant today will shape the future of the Six House.

As leaders, our responsibility extends beyond our own time of service. Together, we can look forward,
invest in one another, and build a Region VI that continues to grow and thrive.
I am excited to serve alongside each of you as we Build Better Engineers, Grow the Six House, and
Leave a Legacy.
