A $5,000 SCHOLARSHIP INCREASES THE LIKELIHOOD OF AN AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDENT’S GRADUATION BY 8 PERCENTAGE POINTS. Thank you for your interest in the NSBE Scholarship Program, presented by the National Society of Black Engineers. Through this program, NSBE’s corporate, government, nonprofit and individual partners are able to make a lasting impact on the collegiate membership of NSBE, while promoting the importance of diversity in the workplace and academic excellence on the college and university campus.
The Fund Development Team at NSBE World Headquarters will work with you to personalize your scholarship package to meet your needs. As a NSBE Scholarship partner, you may:
Sponsors can promote a scholarship with the organization’s name, determine the scholarship criteria, review applications/nominate recipients, determine the number of recipients, and host the scholarship on NSBE’s scholarship platform. The minimum donation for a Named Scholarship is $10,000, with a minimum scholarship award of $5,000. A 10% administrative fee and $1,800 licensing fee (charged once, annually) is added to the amount of your awards to cover the cost of administering and awarding your scholarship. All scholarship donations under $10,000 fund the NSBE General Scholarship pool.
Scholarship funds less than $10,000 will not be tied to an application process but instead are placed in the NSBE General Scholarship pool for disbursement. The General Scholarship is the best option for donors who want to help NSBE members but do not have specific criteria for their awards. Note: General scholarships are not subject to the 10% administration fee or the $1,800 licensing fee.
