Current job/job title:  Director of Learning and Organizational Development at UL, LLC

I have spent the last 25 years of my professional career at UL where I started as a product safety certification engineer who tested and certified medical devices. I quickly moved into management where I eventually became the first Africa-American Woman Engineering Manager for the Medical And Laboratory Business Unit located in our corporate headquarters of Northbrook, IL. After several years in this position, I transitioned into our corporate university where I held various trainer positions from technical customer training to leadership and management training. I currently lead a team of trainers who support leadership and management training as well as organizational development for the Americas region.

Personal Interests
I am a 30-year member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and an active member of the Society of Women Engineering. I am an avid lover of sci-fi books, TV and movies. I love to travel and have extensive international travel experiences. I also like to golf, hike, RV camping, drink wine, spend time with my family and volunteer my time and talents within UL, NSBE, AKA and other organizations as time allows. I am a wife and mother of two children and our son is a current member of a Chicago NSBE Jr. chapter.
