Welcome to Region IV!

Greetings Region IV and NSBE Family!

Welcome to the one and only official site of the Mother Region of the National Society of Black Engineers! My name is Karen Hubbard and I have been granted the great honor of serving you this 2019-2020 Term as your Regional Chairperson.

I am beyond excited to make an impact on Region IV through this year’s National Platform of F.O.C.U.S. created by our passionate National Chairperson, Jocelyn Jackson. The acronym F.O.C.U.S. represents Family, Opportunities, Commitment, Unity and Servant Leadership. F.O.C.U.S. was then broken down into three National Directives for the year which are:

1. Lead with Purpose

2. Leverage the NSBE Ecosystem

3. Secure the Future of NSBE

After extensive brainstorming, multiple clarifying conversations and feedback from Chapter and Regional leaders, I translated these conversations into Regional Objectives to specify the direction of Region IV and where what areas to focus on within the 2019-2020 to best serve the Region as well as supporting the National Directives. The following areas are the defined F.O.C.U.S. areas for the 2019-2020 term:

1. Membership Engagement

2. Leadership Development

3. Organizational Alignment

For each area, all Regional Executive Board Zones created aligning goals for the term and are committed to executing these milestones in order to make an impact in the areas listed above. During my term, I’m striving to charge NSBE Members and Leaders with a mission to finding their area of contribution in the Regional Objectives, National Directives and NSBE Vision. I’d like for all leaders to feel connected to the Regional Executive Board and leverage us

As always, Keep it IV Solid, 4 Life, Forevvaaa,

Karen Hubbard
