Comfort Zone

Hello Comfort Zone,

I am Darryl Johnson Jr, a senior in Mechanical Engineering, from Charlotte, NC. I am currently attending North Carolina State University and I am your 2016-2017 Region II Comfort Zone Coordinator. I act as you all's counterpart, along with the Region II Chairperson. I am excited about this upcoming year and am extremely honored to be able to serve you all as presidents, and your chapters.
A little background about me. I am currently a 2nd rotation co-op with GE Power. I was membership chair and chapter president in 2014-2015 and 2015-2016, respectively, where we won Regional and National Medium Size Chapter of The Year and National Retention Chapter of The Year. I am a Fall 2015 initiate of the Kappa Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. I am super involved and looking forward to our experience as a zone.
I have some great goals as zone coordinator that I will be encouraging you all to work with me to complete this year. Our zone has a great history of being friendly, lets take that to the next level. I want us to increase our collaborative programming efforts by combining some larger scale programming and working to impact larger numbers. This can be done by having joint Walks For Education, community service events, or general body meetings. I would also like for your chapters to continue to get more out of our Comfort Zone Summit. Our zone will reign supreme if we continue to enhance our membership experience between chapters. I'd like for us to connect the membership in the zones past just zone summits as well, as it is extremely important to expose our membership to the network that NSBE provides.
My love for NSBE runs deep, and I look forward to interacting with you all this year. I am an open book and always looking to make connections, work for the mission, and learn. So please reach out to me and we will make things happen!
