Biography

Sharell is a graduating senior at Old Dominion University obtaining a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science. After the completion of her undergraduate studies, she will be relocating to Bethesda, Maryland to start her career at NAVSEA (Naval Surface Warfare Center). Before being elected as the 2018-2019 Ozone Coordinator for the Region II Executive Board, Sharell served as Vice President (Spring 2017) in conjunction with Public Relations Chair during the 2016-2017 academic school year, and Chapter President from 2017-2018, where she accomplished a plethora of goals including winning Comeback Chapter of the Year during National Convention. Due to this major accomplishment, she felt that she could carry her strong leadership skills and abilities to a regional level in an effort to revive the connecting schools of the Ozone region. During her down time, she likes seeking out new creative projects, creating websites, and trying new foods and adventures that bring her much joy and peace. Sharell is ecstatic to network, build meaningful relationships across each NSBE realm and aid in increasing the number of black engineers  as we push to graduate 10K by 2025. It is her sole mission to give back to her community and most importantly, share how resourceful the National Society of Black Engineers has aided in her collegiate endeavors. “Strive to become and keep it 2 HYPE!”
